Local Destination: Cowtown Rodeo (A Guest Post)

An exciting Saturday evening event is the Cowtown Rodeo  in Pilesgrove, NJ near Woodstown in Salem County on Rt. 40. Every Saturday night from Memorial Day through the end of September, families gather to experience a real rodeo with seven different events.

The rodeo is 7:30pm - 10:00pm with gates opening at 6:00p.m. If you arrive early, you can browse their small gift shop or eat at their refreshment stand (which is rather tasty, with different types of food than are normally found at such public events).
Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for children under 12, and children under 2 are free.  We suggest you bring seat cushions or towels or blankets to sit on as the stadium type seats are long metal benches.  Also bring umbrellas if there is the chance of rain.

For flea market lovers, there is one right on the premises. The Cowtown Farmers' Market is open year round on Tuesdays & Saturdays from 8:00am - 4:00pm. It is excellent, in our opinion, and also rather extensive. You can find everything from produce to items that are normally found in a flea market (mostly new items).
The Cowtown Rodeo and Farmers' Market is definitely worth checking out!
