Adventure Aquarium's Christmas Celebration

For Daily Vacationer, the Rankin-Bass movie, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, is A BIG DEAL.  We've watched it on Christmas Eve every single year since before we can even remember starting the tradition.  We've come so far as to say that we know Christmas is really tomorrow when we hear Santa calling: "Merrrrry Christmas! Merrrrry Christmas!" at the very end.  Needless to say, when we discovered that the Adventure Aquarium's Christmas Celebration centered around Rudolph, we HAD to go!

When we arrived at the aquarium, everything was the same at first.  There were no Christmasy things near the entrance and the regular music was playing.  But as we started heading farther into the Aquarium, we began to see twinkle lights and snowflakes.  And then, it happened!  We stepped into the Rotunda and discovered a giant Christmas tree just like one from the movie while the music softly changed to: "We're on the island of misfit toys.......".  Suddenly everywhere we looked were the characters from the story, Christmas trees, Christmas lights, snow, presents!!  We were so excited we literally wanted to grab the people around us and yell: "Do you have any idea how AWESOME this is?!???!?"

The visit just got better and better as we went to say hello to Rudolph and Bumble and got a magical visit from Scuba Santa in the Ocean Realm (visitors can drop a note in his mailbox and get an email from him this year!), and even met a real porcupine!  The Adventure Aquarium is always an incredible time on a normal day, but this visit was like nothing we'd ever experienced before during our previous times there.  We definitely, DEFINITELY recommend the Christmas Celebration (running daily Dec 3 - 30) as a MUST-SEE this month (especially if you are a die-hard Rudolph fan)!

And as for the rest of the story......
