In spite of the looming clouds and the warnings of storms, the mood at Diggerland USA on Thursday was one of excitement and pride. And the Diggerland/Sahara Sam's family should be very proud of themselves. In January, they announced a brand new adventure park coming to West Berlin, NJ, and then took everyone by surprise with the promise of a summer opening in just 6 months! Well, on Thursday, Daily Vacationer went to take a look at this new construction-themed park situated just a short ride from Philadelphia, and we admit it - they did it!
Diggerland USA is the very first of its kind in North America, giving everyone the opportunity to experience the fun of riding and handling real construction equipment. That's right - these trucks, diggers, backhoes, etc. are all real JCB vehicles. Some have been turned into thrilling rides, like the Spin Dizzy and the Sky Shuttle, while others are there for riding in and digging with just like you would on a real construction site. The park boasts an extensive list of attractions, with something for everyone.
The fun isn't limited to just construction vehicles though as Diggerland is also the location of the World's Tallest Ropes Course. At FOUR STORIES tall, this course will quickly become a "must-do" for thrill seekers in the Philly area and beyond. A four-sided rock climbing wall also towers over the park, while the colorful Kids Zone is the perfect place for the youngest visitors to have fun. Make sure not to miss the indoor arcade or forget to pick up something in the gift shop to remember your awesome time at this place. Diggerland has a concession stand and a dining pavilion, so you can stop for lunch when you need to and not miss out on experiencing a single attraction.
What we loved the most about this park is how you don't even have to be a kid or have one to enjoy it. We wanted to try everything ourselves and can definitely see how this park is "Buckets of Fun for Everyone!" (Literally everyone - because who wants to pass on the chance to drive a giant construction truck??)
