A Longwood Christmas

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, Longwood Gardens is always a stunning places to visit.  However, during the holidays, the fountains, ponds, flowers, plants, treehouses, and exquisite horticultural arrangements are illuminated and dazzlingly displayed.  It's festive and magical and is an absolute must on Daily Vacationer's list for the holidays!  Bring family and friends of every age - everyone is going to love it.
Highlights during their musical-themed A Longwood Christmas included the decorated Railway Garden, the Floating Tree Light Display on Large Lake, and getting to walk on the illuminated Meadow Boardwalk.  This year, they used half a million lights to open up even more of their gardens and grounds for the holiday display.  Snowflakes, Christmas trees, and lit up displays shine brightly in the winter darkness.  A new addition for 2016: firepits every evening weather permitting.
And don't forget to see the indoor and outdoor live shows.  The Open Air Theatre Fountain Shows are every hour on the hour during the day, and then every five minutes beginning at 3:30pm with five different shows to enjoy.  Also check the schedule for concerts and organ sing-alongs in the Ballroom.
A Longwood Christmas is on display daily until January 8th.  Timed tickets are required, and tickets are limited, so make sure to purchase tickets ahead of time.  Price varies for peak and non-peak hours.
