In Japan, the coming of spring is celebrated with ohanami - parties. In Philadelphia, we celebrate the coming of spring with the annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival. From martial arts demonstrations and sushi making classes to Dine Out Japan Week and live performances, the festival embraces and showcases Japanese art, food, and culture. Be sure not to miss the huge finale on Sukura Sunday, April 13th, taking place at the Horticultural Center in Fairmount Park, home to hundreds of blooming cherry trees or the Cherry Blossom 5K on Saturday, April 12th.
