Local Destination Event: Swedesboro Woolwich Day (Southwest NJ)

Coming up in just a couple weeks on September 29th, is the annual Swedesboro Woolwich Day in downtown Kings Highway.  Rain or shine, this is a fantastic event that has something for everyone!  The day will kick off with The 6th Annual Dragon 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk at 8:00 am benefiting the Nathaniel Boerlin Scholarship Fund.  The Dragon 5K is a really fun race to run, and the course map can be found online ahead of time for those of you who like to prepare.

After the race, stay the rest of the day starting at 10:00 am to enjoy a day packed with fun and entertainment.  The car show will be there all day (also benefiting the Nathaniel Boerlin Scholarship Fund - to participate please contact Jim at swcarshow@gmail.com).  There will also be historical reenactors at the John C. Rulon House giving a nod to the rich history of the Swedesboro Woolwich, as well as the grand opening of the new Swedesboro Woolwich Historical Society in the upstairs of Borough Hall.

The free entertainment will last all day (10:00am - 4:00pm) and includes an orbotron, moon bounces, balloon artists, caricaturists, face painting, stilt walkers, jugglers, and the "Rockin' Rolling Arcade".  In addition to all of those, there will also be a kids stage and a main stage with live entertainment for everyone.  Make sure to also take a shot at the dunk tank to benefit the local food bank.

To make this exceptionally fun day even more convenient, free parking with shuttle service will also be provided.  I highly recommend coming out and supporting the Swedesboro Woolwich community!  For more information visit www.swedesborowoolwich.com, and you can email swedesboroday@gmail.com with any questions.

Enjoy!
